He knew this was not an pleasant place to be but it was the only pond found in the city he lived. He would never drink from this water, knowing its color would turn even an fish away. A few voices could be herd and he knew they were just teens. The locals to this area and sometimes the one to hand out bites. He was not the friendly type but he could take what he can when he wanted. He was no pig. His paws were think with the much from the bottom of the pond, and an bit of green from the geese droppings at the corners. He could not understand how an human could make this an hang out. Ears twitch above his head, he knew he was alone and that was how he liked it. Deep down he would not mind an small conversation, he admit to talking to one feline, but that was an trick to get an better meal. Did he feel bad, no. His tail gave an small wag, he liked the feel of the mud between his maws. It was soft and it times cared him for the possible of getting stuck. So far, he was fine. He could tell worms were at the bottom. The weather was hot, not much to his favor but he knew where to cool off. Moving out form the pond, he shook his fur and then glace around the world around him. Each day he found something new to explore.

Strong strides brought the large frame forward. He was only a few blocks away from the old restaurant which he lorded over but still this place gave him the feeling of being far away. The disgusting look and smell of the pond water and the gathering teens. It was a place filled with activity and rather repulsive things. His intentions went only as far as getting out and stretching his muscles. He couldn't take lounging within the restaurant all day; Waiting for a canine to just drop by. He had to get out there and just.. well.. get away.
His amber chasms darted towards a canine lumbering out of the vile mess of polluted pond water causing his slender mug to curl up into a utterly repulsed and flat out disgusted at the thought of even dipping his perfectly manicured self in a centimeter into that water. He was a highly meticulous and suave canine who boarded on being vain and arrogant. His perfectly manicured carrot and créme body would never come within feet of that wretched pond.
Watching the canine as he came further away from the pond Nixon couldn't help but chime out; "How can ya stand that?" [/blockquote]

Enjoying the feel of the mud in his pas and the cool liquid in between, he finally was no longer in the pond. Ears twitch slightly above his head. He had zoned out as he was in auto-drive with his body, the voice made his pause and want to laugh. He lifted his head and gave the other an look, an smirk on his features. “There was much worse things then this pond…” He said, shaking is head and letting his fur tense up. The heat no longer bother him, but he still had an dislike to it. He recall the worse things he had been in, or had come across, an dad animal of some sort, blood and guts running into the stream. The smell was far worse then what he had just walked through. Twitching to the recall of such an thing he return back to what was he saying. “You’ll be surpirze, how good it feels to the paws and cools you off on an hot day as this.” He gave an sigh, not expecting the dog before him off in the distance to understand. He could tell this dog was repulse by his actions. Winter Blaze, could care less.

He gave a shaking shudder as the canine explained that there were far worse things to be waddling through. Still no matter how hot it got no one was about to see this handsome orange and white canine pushing his way through toxic waters. He gave a bit of a shrug of his shoulders nodding his head a bit letting his large frame sink back onto his haunches not all that far away from the wet canine. "I dun care how good it feels. Dun think I could stomach it" He spoke out with a bit of a laugh underlying in his tone. He wasn't a short furred dog and in fact he could feel the heat that his thick glossy coat attracted. His fur seemed to lock the heat into his body. Sighing a bit he let his long salmon tongue flop out and over his lower jaw, pulsating with his heavy pant. "Lord Nixon." He introduced in between his panting, giving a nod of his head. [/blockquote]

Winter Blaze gave an slight laugh to the words spoken from Nixon. All making him feel so disgusting. However, he did not care. As he said before, there were worst things an dog can come across. Shaking his head he looked around, of cruse, he would soon head to an place to really cool off. He was simply playing around, reliving the years of an pup. “One would be surprise to what they can stomach.” He said with a smirk, rolling his eyes and an couple of teens ran to the pond, not going near its shore but glancing once to the two dogs. This heat was breath taking and Winter would given anything for the time of near he was named after. Then, he would play peacefully through the city and enjoy life for what it was truly worth. Recalling back to where he was now, he looked to Nixon. “Winter Blaze.” As the saying goes, or what he lived by, it was an name for an name. Otherwise he would never give much. He had issues before, just blurting out names and so he best keep it to himself another gave way. The one before him now, seen decent but an bit…to concern to what he looked like or get to dirty. Either way, Winter had his respect in his tone. The words ‘lord’ before a name, meant nothing to him. He was not one to label or bow. His head was always kept to the same level as others. Never higher or lower. This was one of his odd personalities. “This heat, sure is something, I an more for the winter.” He joke, seeing as winter was part of his name. It was always in his good nature to humor others. To him, the conversation between them was too direct, to plan.

Adjusting himself to be a tad bit more comfortable while perched atop the warm soil that all over had sprinkles of debris and litter. His amber chasms were wandering about turning from the disgusting, smelly waters of the pond up to a running group of teenaged imps. He rolled his eyes at the sight of them once again his slender mug curving up into a sneer. One thing he tolerated less than getting dirty was the humans. They were just disgusting meatbags in his opinion, which he shared with a good lot of stray canines. He nodded his head as the white canine introduced himself as WinterBlaze. A rather unique name much more old-fashioned and.. wild-wolf like than his own plain name of Nixon.
A light chuckle left his deep chest cavity; rolling up from his vocals. He himself wasn't a good one for popping off jokes but he had a certain appreciation for humor. "Well.." He started, already reaching a bored state of mind thanks to the extreme dry nature of this conversation. Rising to his feet his mind reeled over something that could spark interest. Instantly a light bulb flickered on in his mind. "Ya one of these tough guys? Battlelord-ey?" Of course this was going into a direction of his pack; It was all he could think about. Ears twitch, seeing if any dare to come near. It seem well the two were to be left alone. Looking around as well, he looked to Nixon. What more could be said, well he did not know well enough. He was far from being the type to talk and this was the first time he held an conversation without battle. A grin play on his feature hearing the others remark. “Well, I would not say that….” He was not sure what to call himself. Yes he was tough and an battle lord, he had yet to lose, but he was far from the type of brag or label himself. “I have been in battles and tough, I believe many are well built, maybe some better then I.” He paused for an bit and then sighed. “You think of me what you will…” He finally said. Not sure where Nixon was going at. Although he and an feeling it evolved an pack, and thing he never quit saw himself an member of. He was not sure if he could not only fight for himself but for others.

His stance stayed lax as the humble canine answered by dancing around the fire and not coming out and completely admitting his full strength. This bastard had character. Something Nixon could use in his life. A man is judged by those he has around him.. and Nixon was up to finding out what he was made of. It took a lot to gain the interest of this canine if you were not a female and this male was doing a good and simple job of getting on Nixon's good side. Why? Simply because he was a humble rather easy going canine - or so Nixon was interpreting. He nodded his large cranium once more. He did that an awful lot didn't he? "If you're ever interested stop by da old restaurant. I've got my own battle-based pack . Think yacud go far Blaze." He commented as if thinking aloud. He looked slowly towards the humans now, finally paying them full attention but just long enough to shake his head quickly his mug curling up in disgust before he turned his attention back to Winter Blaze. He watch as Nixon took the pose of very relax and humble. A dog he seem to be getting along well with and one he would not mind taking battle with. A grin on his feature again and he nodded his head. He admit once again, he would of never consider what Nixon was asking him right off the bat. Mostly he would of easily turned such an thing away and remain as he was. However he was interested, just by how Nixon was speaking. Maybe they both in time could learn from each other. It seem to be going that way so far. Thinking more on the subject, he sighed and growled slightly at the passing humans. “Such ugly creatures, aren’t they. I wonder how they survive at times.” He made the comment clear and then looked back to Nixon. “So, you think I will go far, well, I will show you that I can and will!” He shook his head again, feeling an itch to her ears. “Consider me interested.” He said with pride. ?Excited to see where life was going to lead him now.

A fierce nod came from the duo colored canine at the statement Blaze made about the human imps. It was a wonder on how they survived. Killing each other with dishonorable boom-sticks and the like. Raging massive wars in which all it seemed to be was a mass killing. Wars among canines were for conquest, not always death. Canines had the ability to conquer without slaughter. It was a much more honorable system. "Dey will kill umselves out sumday" He quipped staring down the imps before turning back to Blaze as he was obviously anxious about the proposition and compliment Nixon had given a few moments ago. A smile spread across his narrow mug as he shifted his weight back and forth before settling down back on his haunches once more. "Well den.. Youragonna need to see th' place." Waiting to see what Blaze said to that before he got up to lead the way. [/blockquote]

His eyes went back to the humans moving on to their next match. He been around enough to know they were killing themselves. They have tried their best to rid themselves of each other and in turn sometimes they go at it with dogs. He been attack once, well rock tossed his way and then once even a butchers knife. It made him laugh to recall such moments. “That they will and it will an great day for us, however they may even brings us down with them…Such horrid creatures as they are.” He spat at his last words. He had never had an good run in with humans, being as most took him for being an wolf. Turning back to the subject of the offer he nodded his head. “Yes, that would be an good start.” He commented with an grin. He herd of this place Nixon called home, passing it by once but never willing to explore. Now it seem he call it home. Sure he was excited, any brute would be. He was excepted, something he never way before and it would show Nixon he deserved what he saw in him.

Rising up quickly he nodded with a sly smile across his pointed, narrow mug. His footsteps started up the second he had rose to his full height again starting away from the pond a few steps before craning a look back over his shoulder, pausing. "Lets get goin" It wasn't an order and not even in a rushed tone. It was just a another flat line in the calm tones that were trademark of him.
