Heavy pad falls bringing his carrot and créme dappled body further in from the harsh light of the outside. Shadows with a promise of cooler temperatures lured the thick coated mass of fur under the thick slabs of cement slathered together to make a human imp parking garage. The sun was a nasty, vile thing. Sucking the moisture up form his bodice.. sending him into a crazy to find more. With this bout of heat-exhaustion he faced day in and day out it was a surprise that he had yet to go mad with the in-and-out of it all. Such scheduled and re-planned events that controlled each and every day. It was either risk to find water just to get thirsty again or to slink away like a snake under a rock. Or in this case, a many story parking garage.
Sounds echoed off the plain, dirty walls and pillars. It was other canines that were rouges within this city. His light hued chasms cut through the darkness looking to pinpoint to the T what canines it was causing the disruptions. Shadows were all that came to his sharp eye as he let the thought of finding them roll to the back of his mind.
Of course he was what could be considered a pretty boy. His coat shining with a gloss unlike most stray male's coats. Not a speck of dirt nor grime was matted within the silky strands of his orange pelt. The white blaze across his chest was just as clean. He looked the part of a house pet but lived the part of a upcoming alpha-to-be. He'd laid his claim upon the old closed down restaurant. Now only time would tell. His gait was a lording one. His entire frame hoisted up into sheer dominance as his extensive entrance was made. Let the canines know; Nixon was on the scene. Tantalizingly sweet, but oh-so lethal. [/blockquote]

Those amber-yellow stones merely penetrated the lanky shadows that criss-crossed the stone floor. Various scratching sounds arouse from the thinned darkness, the hulking frame of the Leonberger looming outwards before slithering away. Leathery nares twitched, the dark visage that housed iced orbs swiveling slowly as if he had a spinal deformity. An obsidian lip arched, the elegant curve of a lethal canine bared up to the glistening gum as a new scent assaulted him.
“And you are?”
The calm boom was the give away of Bane’s location, but the large dog cared not as the long, curling length of his tail swaying as one large paw pressed into a section of the light that paraded on the new comer, the amber-orange limb climbing remarkably high as the brute stepped forward entirely, a chilling look spiraling into his gaze as it roamed over the opposite brute.

It was a wonderful thing, how nothing was able to stir a feeling of impending doom within his being. Always so calm and level headed. He himself wasn't all so sure as to how he pulled it off. Thick plumage swifting up a bit in a parade of temporary dominance as he nodded his head once to the larger male canine. "Lord Nixon" He spoke out in the same calm, up-front tone he always managed to use. Letting his plume curtain back down he let his own amber orbs sweep over the large multi-colored bodice of the Leonberger bastard. "Howsabout you?" His drawling accent and lack of proper grammar becoming a trademark in this town. Most everyone else seemed rather keen on good grammar. He was a dog, it really didn't matter how well he spoke; or in this case Speeked. [/blockquote]

Lord, huh..? The concept of this pretty-boy like dog being a lord actually made a slight curve grace Bane’s muzzle. “You are no lord in my eyes, Nixon. I go by Bane.. and I’m wonderful right now, yourself?” The frank tone he used was similar to a dismissal, solemn gaze wandering momentarily from Nixon to peer behind him, into the swelling sunlight and heat. As he glanced back to the proclaimed ‘Lord’, his head tilted as he simply stared. “Some of the mightiest of beasts seem so fragile, huh?”

His brow furrowed a warning growl wanting to surge up from his silent vocals. But that was how they remained; Silent. His gaze was piercing one, trained hard onto the larger bastard as if daring him to step further out of line. He would let the total disrespect of his dominance over the canines of this city go. He was an authority figure and he would remain his placid self for the time being. The last line of speech from Bane was what halted him. His mug did manage to curl a bit into a half snarl but the agressive gesture was dropped. "Well Bane, I am indeeda lord. Leadern Founder of the Canine Forces. " It was as if he needed to clear the air; Give Bane a clue as to just who he was. "Immna just fine. Gettin out of the damn heat. I s'ppose yousa right though. Most taunt meafor lookin like a dog outta th' kennel club but I done established a battle-based pack.. the only pack in thishere city." His horrid grammar broke off there as he turned and looked dead into Bane's eyes. He wanted to test something here.. see if this would work. His voice was lowered now his eyes narrowed an anger shown like no other. "Now listen here you may think I'm a stupid punk from the golden gates of human homes but listen; Don't try me and we'll get along fine. I'm one of those people you want to get to know in this damn city. My offer lays here now. The only other bastards in this city aren't worth half of you I'm willing to bet. Lay the bullshit aside and lets talk business. Do you or do you not want a name for yourself known far and wide? Do you want to be the high power in this city? If so you have your one and only chance right here and right now. You'll never hear me like this again; My charade is not one I drop easily." His eyes darted around quickly. Nixon was basically a habitual liar. Each town gave him a different identity and a quirk. Nixon in fact was far from his real name given at birth which was Monarch. He was actually rather sharp and cunning.. but Nixon.. was the drawling Lord. That was what this city was for him.. a new stage to play his different identity. [/blockquote]

Although Bane wasn’t exactly the one to point out the obvious, the subtle hints of this brute’s apparent station breezed past him, the unconcerned feel left behind permanent for the moment. The angry gaze settled on him, and he merely blinked as the play before him unfolded in a most surprising manner. “I don’t care if I get a name or not, but this does seem interesting. However.. Don’t try to play me for a fool.” He didn’t see this as a threat, just a statement; lying seemed natural, far too natural nowadays. A matter of trust would only be formed to an honest hound; a rare thing to find.
Bane’s only problem now, was his habit to say what he thinks, when he thinks it, whether someone finds it insulting or not. He really should lie more often.

Nixon's easygoing attitude snapped back into play instantly, he gave the normal noncommital nod of his head as Bane warned him heatedly not to play him for a fool. Nixon wouldn't dream of it. He really actually was going to try with this one.. if he hadn't made that obvious by temporarily dropping his charade for the first time in all three years of his life. He was getting older now.. and he wanted those who had a noble way about them around him. He needed good character in his life, which he was hoping Bane and Blaze would bring. The rest of his company wasn't very high in the standards of life but that he didn't care about. He had the two he felt he needed now. "Then yashould afollow me." He said with a heavy nod turning to start towards the blindly bright light of the outside street. [/blockquote]
