A young dog padded throught the area. She loved the rain and loved to play in the puddles. She followed the stream and watched as the tiny dropplets of water splashed in the stream water. She continued to walk untill she found a tire with a small dog in it. She walked up behind the tiny dog and raised her head over the dogs body to protect it from the rain. Then she finally said , "Hello" to the little dog.

Her large paws padded through the stream and then to the other side. It wasn't that deep at the moment and she loved wading through it. A few rain droplets fell down upon her coat and dripped down to the dampened ground. Her orbits scanned along the stream bank, and she successfully climbed up the slippery mud onto the flat part. There was a lot of rubbish scattered a long the bank, nothing that would suit her, very little food as well. She sighed and caught a whiff of something out of place. A dog, presumably. She followed the scent, her maw stuck to the ground as she started to search.
It was just up the stream that she came across the tyre, where she could just make out the figure of one dog. She quickly made for a little skip before bouncing alon to her. She could make out another dog, inside the tyre, all curled up. He looked rather helpless and cold, poor little thing. Who wouldn't be cold on a night like tonight? Kiata sighed and sat down next to the tyre and blinked. She yawned and shook the tiny water droplets off her soggy coat before flopping out her tongue and watching the tiny dog inside the tyre, then to the other dog, protecting him from the rain.
What's yer name? She asked blankly, addressing no one. If they wanted to answer, they would answer, if they didn't, she didn't care. These dogs weren't exactly amusing, nor worth bothering to talk to on such a cold night that even Kiata was cold. A little tingle of a shiver spread down her spine and she circled around the tyre before peering over the top to the small little dog. A Jack Russell, wasn't it? Her teeth produced a smile and she shook her head, still grinning a little. His body was nearly all white except on his head, the left and right ears were a large splodge of light brown, which had darkened in the rain. This colour went all the way down to under his eyes, and then his muzzle carried on being white. Kiata was rather fond of Jack Russell's, some were rather snappy and yet she saw a lot of them tied onto a lead and dragged about everywhere. That made them helpless, because a human could actually pick them up and carry them away. She sighed. That was life, wasn't it?

Amber turned her head to the other dog surprised. She had not heard the other dog come over nor had she smelled the dog because of the rain. She smiled politely "Amber." she simply replied. "Whats yours?" she questioned.

Her head cocked to the left a little and she blinked wonderingly. He had noticed her, and it seemed that he had heard her, but had not replied. She nodded to the other dog who had just said her name. Hello, Amber. She replied simply and then padded slowly towards the little Jack Russell. Her orbits studied the weak little thing and then nodded. Kiata noticed he was excited about being here, about being around them. Company, oh every dog needed company once in a while.
So, what about you, little silent one? She asked, with a grin in her voice. Got no name? I'm Kiata if you were wondering. Her eyes shot up to the rain as it slithered down her matted fur, washing away the mud that had been caked in it for years. Kiata sighed, nothing could wash away her fur now, nothing. She let her rump rest on the side of the bank, in front of the tyre, watching both dogs carefully. Her eyes softened and she snorted lightly before lowering her head. The little dog, hardly an adult in life and was so small, so helpless. It would hardly keep itself warm with that kind of thin coat, dogs always needed thick layers, but some didn't have them. They only had a thin layer, like Jack Russells and Labradors. Kiata hated her fur sometimes, though. It would be snagged on things and matted and she would get extremely hot in the summer. Unbearably hot.
Come here, little one. She said softly. This little dog needed some warmth, and if he would take this offer, she would warm him up quite quickly. Kiata gave an awkward smile and snorted.
