Tiarne wandered aimlessly throughout the park. It was remotely empty today. For once. This place was usually buzzing with people and their pets. Occasionally there would be a cat, but usually there were dogs. Dogs that belonged to people. Tiarne's mind went back to the day the storm hit the farm. The beautiful, green, hilly, farm. She longed for the cool breeze to hit her face as she was bossing the sheep around. Unfortunately, that bossy nature was still with her. Tiarne knew she could do nothing about her past. She would never return to the farm, she didn't want to. She really didn't. She couldn't imagine being bossed around again. She wanted to be the one in charge, not vice versa. Feeling lonely, she sat down underneath the shade, trying to cool off and scanning the park for another stray she could talk to.

Dark charcoal paws hit the ground at a light speed, the wolf on the hunt after a stupid rodent. As he grew closer his emerald eyes grew large, just wishing to pound the life out of the animal that had bit his nose. His soft, gleaming light gray clustered fur glowing dully in the weak light. He gave his body more energy, closing in on the rodent, and snapping at it tail. Just as he was about to clench his jaw over it's body, the rodent darted away, into a hole. As much luck would have it, his left paw caught the hole, causing Jester to tumble sideways, leaving him in a furry pile.
A low growl left his mouth, shaking out his dark coat. He should have known better than to try and catch something living. Jest licked his nuzzle, his tail hanging limply from his body. The park was deserted, besides a few other beings. Turning his head slightly, his eye caught another dog sitting beneath a tree. His mind rushed around, deciding whether or not to approach the canine. His paws itched to walk forward, but his brain and heart knew better. The dog might have an owner, and the last thing he needed was some human coming up to him, an trying to find a collar. He merely stood in the shade, watching the dog. He was too cautious for his own good.

"'Ello, thet was quite a tumble there." Tiarne approaced the brute. Her voice clear, but her thick accent making her words slur together. She had seen the whole thing from a distance across the way. She had smiled to herself as the big dog stumbled over, all for a tiny mouse. She could have grabbed the creature in a second, as she was a herding dog. But, others were not as agile as she. She was a bit smaller than him, but not by much, he just had more fluff. Tiarne thought he looked slightly similar to her, maybe he was an Australian dog as well. Judging by his tumble, he was most likely not a herder, but who knew these days?

He wanted to roar as the same dog he had been looking at came up to him, and commented on his fall. He looked down at the ground sheepishly, his pride no doubt bruised. "Yeah, I'm definatly not the most graceful."he muttered in a hourse voice, looking back up at the female. An aussie, no doutb. Jester was an Australian herding dog, even though many couldn't see it. He looked like a bernese, because of how broad he was. He sat down lightly, his tail curling underneath his bottom. "Name's Jester." he told her, hating his name fully. He would rather be named Fido, or Fluffy than that.

Jester, eh? That was a rather...peculiar name. Atleast in Tiarne's opinion. But she didn't comment on it. A dog couldn't really choose his own name, it wasn't his fault. "Nice to meet yeh, the name's Tiarne, most call meh Tia," she said, her tail wagging happily behind her. She was glad to have found another stray like she. Tia had noticed several strays here, but none acknowledged her in any way, probably thought she belonged to a human, the way she was so polished and clean.
[sorry, bad post]

He could remember the day he was named. Some small child had placed a strange hat on his head, much made the young pup bounce around, looking silly. The child laughed, and decided to name him Jester, because he was like a court jester. Made him sound like a clown. But he no longer lived in that home, so why didn't he just change his name? because the name had sentimenal value, reminding Jest he had a family once. "Tiarne. nice. Call me whatever. Jes, Jest. Whatever floats your boat." he said, his shoulders shrugging slightly. He looked down at his own tattered chest fur. Nice and dirty, while Tiarne's was clean. "Hope i'm not imposing, but you a stray?" he asked bluntly, his head lifting back up.
[it's alright, this sucks]

Yes, yes, I am a stray. Have been for ehwhile now." She smiled, she had noticed him comparing cleanliness. Not much got by Tiarne. "Mind if I call yeh Jet? Sounds much betteh." She liked the sound of the name and it sounded more sophisticated than Jester did. She felt sorry for the dog. Jester, what person in their right mind would name their dog Jester? Ah, oh well, she wouldn't make him feel bad.

[mind if I join-- can delete if not ok ] Sandee padded through the park, her nose to the air, and her paws skimming lightly over the ground. She could tell it would be a good day, for the air was clean and carried the hints of summer that was just around the bend. As she walked down the path a bit, she saw two dogs sitting together. She was not aquainted with either, but then again, she did not know a lot of the dogs around here anyway so it wasn't surprising. "Hello.." she began...

[Your fine]
"Ello, 'tis nice to meet yeh too. I was just gettin' acquainted with Jesteh here. I'm Tiarne, and yeh are...?" The dog was a friendly one. Very outgoing and always looked approachable. She didn't like to intimidate people, but if she ever got the impression that the other was not one to be trusted, she would never hesitate to be cold. But, while making friends, she was all smiles.

'Call me whatever you want. I honestly couldn't care." he said, dropping his body to the ground, his chest resting in the dirt. "I'm a stray as well." he said, nodding his head slightly. His head turned to face the female that had joined them, greeting them. Jest had never been too good with meeting new dogs, so he merely nodded in her direction, a simple hello. He could never trust a new dog or stray off the bat, it took a bit, but females usually didn't turn out to be untrust worthy.

Jade could sense that they were both good dogs, but she would have to watch what she said, not to get on their bad side. "I'm Sandee.." she nodded to Tiarne, "pleased to meet you. And you too Jester..". With a smile, she relaxed onto her haunches and waited. "I'm a stray too, but im new around here."

Tiarne could see the dog was a bit uneasy, atleast that's what she sensed. Things were already getting a bit dull, she needed to bring up something a bit more creative. "So, what pack are yeh both in?" Oh, come on, you could have done better than that,[/i Tiarne said to herself. She was generally good with dogs, if they were as interesting as she was, which wasn't necessarily uncommon.
Finding it ironic to ask what pack they were in, as she was not in one at the moment, she added, "Thet is, if yeh're in one."

Sandee looked at Tiarne in confusion. "Urmm, I'm not in a gang, I don't think.." really, Sandee had no idea what a gang was and what it meant to be in one, but she continued in a polite manner. "Are you in one?"
