The tiny body of a female Papillion could be seen from a distance, padding along the biker's path. The brown, dirty pond smelled of rotting fish and there was a rusty old bike near the pond's edge. A goose cried out as a teenage boy hit with a rock. The goose quickly flapped its wings and took off. Abelle` would too if she were the goose. Of course, she was a tiny thing that no one believed could fend for herself. She was too small and fragile. How would she survive? It was time to find a pack, she knew it was. But, she was also afraid that no one would accept her. Apparently everyone thought she was a scrawny rat. Of course, except for Adrienne. Adrienne was Abelle's only friend at the moment. But Abelle` wouldn't complain, atleast not right now.

Sandee strolled easily around the edge of the pond, her head light and her head much more at ease. This had become her favorite spot, and she had become much more used to it since the last time that she was here, and it was rather pretty in its own way. With a yawn, she shook her head, and walked faster, to see a small papillon on the bikers path. Slowing her pace again, she came to where the dog was and wagged her tail in a friendly way. She seemed a little distressed, so she began the conversation: "Hello there. I'm Sandee, who are you?"

Abelle looked rather surprised at the dog's friendliness. One of her first encounters with a kind dog, atleast in this area. She decided now would be a good time to turn her charm on and milk it for all it was worth, she needed as many loyal friends as she could get. "I'm Abelle. It's nice to meet you Sandee," her heavy French accent was sometimes hard to understand and, for her size, her voice sounded squeaky. But Abelle pretended not to mind, though she really did.

Sandee smiled at Abelle, a bit surprised at her heavy French accent, but it was interesting. She had only ever met one French dog, and this one seemed friendly enough. "Hi Abelle, nice day, isn't it?" looking up at the sky, she was glad it was finaly clear after the heavy heat earlier in the week. "Are you a stray?" The dog was very pretty and she looked pretty well groomed. Perhaps she was by herself, but perhaps she was a pet. Sandee was not sure, but so far, she hadn't met any pets.

Ahh, yes, the age-old question. Was she really a stray? Yes she was, but no one ever believed her. Atleast, it most certainly seemed that way. "Why, yes, I am a stray. I know I don't look it, but I am. I just manage to stay very...eh...clean," she smiled up at the husky. How different it would be to be tall and muscular and look down on the world instead of be tiny and petite and look up to everyone. Abelle wasn't even sure if she would like it, or maybe it would just take some getting used to. But, why wonder, it wasn't like it was going to happen.

"Ahh, me too," Sandee replied thoughtfully. The dog was lucky, sometimes, her own coat got so dirty from lack of care that she had to submerge herself completely in the pond water just to clean herself. "Yes, I used to have humans, but that was when I was still a puppy. It's been a long time since then... I can't really remember what it was like." Looking at the humans with raised brows, she continued: "Well, it can't have been all that pleasant..."

Abelle personally had loved being with her humans. She often wished she was there. It was not so fitting for a tiny Papillion to be out on the streets, now was it? "Oh, I didn't...mind so much," she admitted. If Sandee was going to be a friend, then Abelle should be honest with her. Abelle wasn't going to lie, she never did. If all there was to say was a lie or a rude remark then don't say anything at all. That was how she had been brought up.

"Oh.. I always imagined humans to be some kind of horrible monsters." Jade shrugged, with a lopsided grin. "I really can't remember. What was it like?"
