Her legs carried her along the frazzling pavement and her nose was glued to the ground, sniffing in deeply the aroma around her. Her neck craned upwards to the parking lot and she snorted, approaching the tarmac and sat down, letting in the sunlight. The sun was setting over the horizon and yet it was still hot, a few gleams fizzling over the sky. The once blue overhead was now mixtures of purples, pinks, oranges and yellows. The sight was magnificent but most people who walked past found no interest in this aspect and would get on with their lives.
What was wrong with humans? They didn't care about the world's beauty, only about their work, family and other boring things that dogs find no interest in. She heaved a sight through her nostrils and turned her head to the right where a car slowed down on the road and then fastened after a cat had finished crossing the road. If that had been a dog, She started to muse, He would've run us down. Called us scum and left us to die on the tarmac. Yet of course, it was like humans worshipped cats, when THEY were the damned scum.
*Forgot to mention. This is Neeki, not Kiata.*

Little paws bringing her stocky frame forward. Her strides lacked much power as she scrambled up the leg of the human's chair to plop her scrawny, sickly self atop one of the tables closest to the exit. She was a tiny thing still.. unable to leave the territory without great exertion. She was lucky her father Nixon had such things arranged to make her getting the outside possible. Fumbling over the window ledge she made a shaky leap onto rickety crates before finally dropping roughly to the earth. It was a wonder that she was even able to make it; She was the weakest of the three pups of her litter. She wasn't even expected to live long. She'd show them though.. they thought she was a lost cause but she wasn't going anywhere. Small, light chasms falling upon a small reddish canine crossing over onto the sidewalk in front of her father's territory. Loping forward a few clumsy steps she barked out a friendly greeting; "Hi!" Her voice was high, nasally and screamed out that she was a juvenile, as if her appearance didn't do that enough already. [/blockquote]

Leroy had only just awoken from his nap. He was the strongest of the litter and it showed in his build. The young pup looked out of the window that his sister had just plopped through. He shook his head and followed rather wearily. He had always worried about his sister for she was the weakest of them all, and his other sibling didn't make it either. He only had one other sister, the oldest.
He too jumped from the window but laded in a graceful manner. His legs were stong and sturdy for his age. Brown eyes followed his sister's movements and he shook his head. How could she be so stupid as to just say hi to a strange mutt?
"Get back in the house!" He called over, his voice filled with worry and not anger. "Mother won't be happy you snuck out you know." He padded up to her, took a hold of her small ear and gave a tug.

Her eyes gleamed as the bitch approached her. So scrawny, probably couldn't last a bitter winter coming. She gave a pitying look and turned her head with a snap as another puppy bounded over, male this time. He looked stronger and clearly they were siblings, which was amusing. Oh how Neeki would've died to become a puppy again and have the warmth of her mother and the freedom to play about wherever. Ah, hello young ones. She needn't leave now, what is the rush? Neeki looked at the male brute with stern eyes but she gave a laugh, like a secret joke of hers. Neeki bounded around the puppies, both were going to dominate her in size one day. These puppies will grow tall, yet Neeki will stay fixed and close to the ground. It was embarrassing to find puppies already taller and bigger than you, but she wouldn't mention it. Her eyes softened and she glanced at the female. Poor thing, what she the runt of the family? Neeki couldn't tell, but she had been the runt when she was a small puppy. It was hard because she was weak, yet now Neeki had grown up and gotten stronger.

Small frame shrinking down as her brother came up scolding her as if he was her parent. She dispised it but of course made no action to let him know. It was nice that he was so concerned for her wellfare but she didn't need another worried parent figure. She hunched down even lower as he pulled at ear and she was turning back towards the crates to crawl back into the heart of the territory when the older but smaller dog protested. She looked wearily to her brother knowing it were up to him weather they returned into the resturant or not. [/blockquote]

Banshee noticed that her siblings had beaten her to it. Oh well, she had simply gotten distracted. Nothing wrong with that. "Hi, you guys, wait up!" she scrambled after them, her long legs quickly carrying her towards them. She stood next to her brother, Leroy, panting heavily. Looking down at her stocky sister, she felt pity for her. She had overheard her parents talking one day. They had been expressing their concern about how unhealthy she was. [What is her name, lol?] It was especially strange, since she was the firstborn. Banshee was glad to be the second born. Not the baby of the family, but not responsible for everything either. Only a few weeks old were the 3 puppies, still getting acquainted with the surroundings.

Neeki turned her head to see another puppy bounding over. Ah, so there were three of them, little mites. She nodded to the last puppy to enter and turned her head to the weaker female. Is it your brother who does the bossing about? She asked with a smile. It was true, there was always a leader in a bundle of siblings. The one who would stand tall and tell the other ones what to do and say. It was amusing watching these little puppies. Her head turned to the stronger female that had just entered. And what about you? Do you follow the orders of him? Neeki was curious of their names, although just meeting them they seemed lively and a bundle of joy. Also, what are your names? I am called Neeki. She raised her maw proudly and grinned. Her name was nothing special and was nothing to boast about. What is a name when you have a personality?

"I'm Banshee," she piped up. "And, no, I don't let Leroy boss me around." The little female swished her tail around, sassily. In her mind, she was the leader, since her older sister was too weak to do any bossing. But, little did she know, whether she liked it or not, as the pups grew older, Leroy would most likely be the one to take charge. But, for now, Banshee liked to let herself think that she was her own leader. She liked to wander alone, as long as a sibling or her mother was nearby. Banshee liked to think that she was adventuresome, but she really wasn't. When it came right down to it, she was actually a wimp. But she would never admit it to anyone, no matter how obvious it was.

Her eyes widened a little in admiration of this little puppy. She was trying to be brave and light hearted. Poor little mite. Ah, do you now? Her eyes glanced to the male puppy. Leroy was his name then? Well that is interesting. How long do you plan to keep that going? It was clear that it was probably easy to boss around the smallest puppy. The runt. If it fought back, the stronger puppy would beat it, paws down. It were the laws of nature, the weakest puppy would always lose. Neeki sighed and hoped that all these puppies actually made it to adulthood. Strong and proud. It was most likely at least one would be killed somehow. What pack do you belong to? Neeki found herself asking out of the blue. She was curious and was in need to join a pack and form a family of her own. It had been a while since she had run with a pack and was yearning to do it again some time.

On instinct, Banshee simply replied "Daddy's pack." She couldn't remember the name, and just left it at that. Her tiny pink tongue hung out, her brown eyes shone as she glared into the burning sun. As she was darker in color, she was getting rather hot. She shook herself off to try and get rid of the heat, but, as expected, that didn't work. She sat down, and looked up at the Dachsund [sp?]. Banshee wasn't used to adult dogs being almost her height. She wondered if Neeki was a puppy too, but she was sure that couldn't be possible. She certainly didn't act like a puppy. Maybe something was wrong with her. Whatever the reason, Banshee decided not to say anything, so as to not hurt her new friend's feelings.

Neeki grinned. She wanted to laugh aloud at the height these puppies had already grown when hardly out of their mother's womb. Oh, Daddy's Pack. So her father was the alpha? Wouldn't that mean Leroy would be the heir? She decided not the question when these puppies knew so little about such things like this. Uh... thanks. Her orbs scanned the little puppies and she sat down, smiling. Neeki hated being short and if this puppy grew so tall, she would be incredibly embarrassed.

Ears twitch as he listen to the pups speak among themselves but also with another. He looked around not seeing any of the other pack members and so she moved over into view. He looked each pup over, nudging them slightly. “Hello, little ones. Excited about training soon…” He said and then looked to Neeki. “Well, who is your friend?” He question, seeing no problems with the little dog being where she was. No threat to the pups or the pack.

Neeki looked up at the bleary sight. He was rather... large, compared to her anyway. Neeki looked down embarrassed and then stepped back. I.. uh... I am Neeki. Who might you be? She gave a short, anxious smile before looking at the puppies. Training? Neeki sighed. Puppies should be given enough time just to be a puppy and have fun, before becoming an adult. Most grew up too soon though and wasted their little puppy lives.

Winter Blaze gave an small smile, laying himself on the ground so that he did not seem so big. Of cruse the training he spoke of was just small, nothing big till they got older, they were growing very fast. “Well miss Neeki, very nice to meet you. My name is Winter Blaze, High King to this pack.” He bowed his head and then looked around. He had not recalled hearing about this dog, so she must be knew of just wondering.

Neeki's eyes widened. So he was the alpha! She gave a small and short smile before watching him lower to the ground. Now she needn't strain her head to look up at him, luckily. Ah, m'lord. Do I have the permission of joining this pack? She asked as politely as her heart could let her. Neeki wasn't one to really do politeness very often, and would usually snap and smirk. Still, she tried her best.
